Our Philosophy

Dr. Caroline Curtis started Lucky Beans Childcare with a clear vision. As a positive psychologist, she wanted to create a space in which she could provide positive parenting and strengths-based methods for nurturing children, enabling them to thrive in these important and foundational years.

Dr. Curtis found that traditional nursery settings lacked focus, they seemed more like a place to keep children busy and distracted rather than a place designed for them to develop their young minds and learn important life skills.

With this in mind, she decide to create the Lucky Beans Childcare curriculum. It's a fresh, new approach to early years education that is designed to help each child grow in their own way. Lucky Beans offers a bespoke approach to childcare, noting that children all develop at different paces and in different ways. This method of teaching is just part of what makes Lucky Beans so special!

Childcare with a difference...

Dr. Caroline Curtis built upon several important philosophical foundations to create the LB curriculum to create a fresh, modern answer to childcare. Welcome to childcare, with a difference.

Child-led Learning

We allow our children to set the pace of their learning, and choose subject areas that interest them. We don't force anything, but instead gently foster their creativity and nurture them in a way that starts a life-long love of learning.

Forest School Ethos

We prioritise outdoor time at Lucky Beans. It is a unique learning opportunity as children develop self-esteem and confidence through experiencing the great outdoors. Every day we arrange fun outings for the children designed to expand their minds.

Strengths-Based Support

We involve children in a wide array of healthy and active activities from ballet to basketball. It is a wonderful way for children to bond through a common activity and develop important life skills whilst staying healthy and active.
