Home cooked food, a safe space to learn and grow, and heaps of fun is what our children experience at any of our Lucky Beans Childcare Streatham preschool.
Why choose Lucky Beans as your preschool in Streatham
We are welcoming preschoolers aged 2.5 - 5 years, and combining the best of traditional forest nursery learning.
Your local Streatham preschool is Lucky Beans Childcare's preschool, Growing Beans Streatham, which is spread across two beautiful locations in Streatham, London.
Our new preschool is a uniquely designed space, which was built with our children and our Streatham childminders in mind.
All of our preschools boasts new learning and developmental techniques based on Forest School principles and a childcare philosophy that incorporates the full EYFS curriculum.
We’ll talk more on the environment and approach of our child care in a moment… but this decision you need to make on which Streatham nursery to send your child to is just as important for you as it is for your child.
What we offer to our parents:
Peace of mind at drop off, updates throughout the day, detailed handovers at the end of the day, and best of all, a smiling child when you pick them up!
Although we’re here to care for your child, we’re here to support you too. Placing your child in either of our preschools in Streatham, consider us as part of your team to build a bright future for your little one.

and we hope some luck comes your way too! Many thanks,
Emma & Family
Thank you so much for all your kindness and support with Amelia, I couldn’t have done it without you! Seriously! Absolute Angels. Thanks you so much again
Tori, Chris & Phoebe
To all the wonderful staff at Growing Beans - we just wanted to say the hugest thank you for taking such amazing care of Phoebe for the last 10 months. She has absolutely loved her time with you, and it has been so special to see her growing and developing so happily. She has run to the door smiling every morning to come and see you all, which is everything we
hoped for.
Committed to deliver high quality childcare and education to local Streatham families, just like yours
All our locations are safe and secure, with safeguarding protocols all in place. And because our care is focused on the Forest School ethos, we've made sure we have the space and zones to always get fresh air and offer the right environment for each child to learn and thrive.
We offer our preschoolers engaging areas for fun & messy play, dancing, singing, sensory, sport and outdoor play.
Speaking of our gardens, we have climbing frames, slides, swings, tables, chairs and plenty of room for running and sport. Perfect for the kids' physical development.
And if we hadn't already made it clear, we inspire and nurture your child's curiosity outdoors. Even if the British weather tries to stop us, we find a way!
Our preschool child care teams
Of course, we have plenty of lovely children at the nursery, your child's future buddies, but we are focused on your child's health and safety. Our staff-to-child ratio is carefully managed to make sure all kids are safe, but also that each child gets the attention they require.
Not only are our staff professionally trained, but the Lucky Beans approach to care is to support and encourage our Growing Beans to be independent, knowledgeable and happy.
Many of our child care staff will care for your little one, but your assigned ‘Key Worker’ will be journaling your child’s development throughout their time at the nursery.
This means they can set personal goals for your child to grow and achieve their own personal bests in every area of their learning and development.

Parent FAQs
What are your child nursery fees?
There is no set price, all our child care needs are tailored to you and your child.
Please call our admissions team on 02045010894 or email admissions@luckybeanschildcare.co.uk to receive our fees sheet for your chosen nursery or preschool and to arrange a tour.
Do you accept the government’s funded hours support?
Yes we do, we help parents access the 15 hours of support for 3 and 4 year-olds (or 30 hours of support if you qualify). The reduction this will make in your fees is illustrated on the fees sheet which our admissions team will send you.
What are the ratios of staff to preschoolers in the nurseries?
We adhere to the industry standard of 1 staff member to 4 children for 2-3 year-olds and 1 staff member to 8 children for 3-5 year-olds while in the preschool.
As we have a forest school ethos, we spend a lot of time outdoors. When we are outdoors we have a higher ratio of staff to children than these ratios, to enable the children to explore and learn while being properly and safely supervised.
What sort of food do you serve? Can you work with my child’s allergies?
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus two snacks in the morning & afternoon that are provided by our in-house chefs. Our delicious and healthy meals will fuel your little one's mind and body.
We also include a few yummy treats in our menu, because some foods are good for the soul.
All our chefs and relevant staff are trained in food hygiene holding a minimum of a Level 2 Certificate. We are understanding & accommodating to all dietary requirements, just let us know!
If your child is weaning, don’t worry, we have weaned many children successfully.
What is the daily routine at the preschool?
The exact things that we do will vary from day to day and month to month, both to keep the children interested and to best progress the children towards their learning goals.
However, in broad strokes, a day will progress like this:
-
7:30 - 9:00 - drop-offs and breakfast
-
Free play, including sensory activities
-
Snack
-
Outdoor activities/forest school
-
Lunch from 11:45 - 12:30
-
Nap time for younger children/free play for older ones
-
Snack
-
Structured activities, often classes in music, Spanish, tennis, football or ballet provided by our outside educators
-
Supper
-
Free play
-
Pick up 5:30 - 6:30
